What does ONAV Marketing do?
We run marketing for flight schools as one system: a website built to book discovery flights, Meta and Google ads, Google Business Profile and SEO, AI-search content, video, and instant lead follow-up. Every lead is tracked to a booked flight and a new student, and you see all of it in your ONAV client portal.
How is ONAV different from other marketing agencies?
We only work in aviation, and our founder is an FAA-certificated A&P mechanic, so you never have to explain what a discovery flight, a checkride or Part 141 means. We also include your ad budget in one monthly price, track leads all the way to enrollment, and go month to month after the first 90 days.
What's the difference between running ads and running our social media?
Running ads means we build and manage paid campaigns that bring in leads: targeting, ad creative, budget and testing. Running your social media means we plan, film, design and post your organic content every month (short videos, animated explainers and photo posts) and keep your pages active. Our Ads program is ads only. Growth and Full Throttle include both.
How much does flight school marketing cost?
Our Ads program starts at $2,250 a month: a $1,250 management fee plus a minimum $1,000 ad budget that goes entirely to ads. Growth, which adds full social media management (videos, animated explainers and photo posts every month), starts at $4,500 a month including ad budget. Full Throttle, which includes a 24/7 AI phone agent, starts at $7,500. One-time onboarding is $500, $1,500 or $2,500 depending on the program, plus $500 when the AI phone agent is added to Ads or Growth.
What does the AI phone agent do?
It answers your school's phone after hours and whenever nobody picks up. It says it's an AI assistant, answers questions only from facts your school has confirmed, books discovery flights on your calendar and texts the booking link. During business hours it puts urgent calls through to your team. When a caller wants a call back, your team gets a text with their name, number, best time and what they asked. Every call is saved to your CRM with a short note. It's included in Full Throttle and is $300 a month on Growth or $500 a month on Ads, plus $500 setup.
Why is there a $1,000 minimum ad budget?
Below about $1,000 a month, ad platforms don't get enough results to learn who your best students are, so cost per lead stays high and results swing week to week. $1,000 is the floor that gives a single-location school steady, measurable leads. You can go higher any time, but not lower.
Where does my ad budget go?
100% of your ad budget is spent on ads. Our management fee is separate. You can see every dollar of spend, every lead and the cost per lead in your client portal, and the ad accounts stay in your school's name.
How fast will we see results?
Most schools see their first leads within days of ads going live, about 21 days after signing. Cost per lead usually improves through months 2 and 3 as the ads learn. Google search and AI-search visibility build over 4 to 12 months, which matches Google's own guidance on SEO.
Is there a long contract?
The first term is 3 months: enough time to launch, let the ads learn, and judge real numbers. After that it's month to month with 30 days' notice. You can move up a program at any time.
Do we own our website and ad accounts?
Yes. Your ad accounts, Google Business Profile, domain, analytics and lead data stay in your school's name. We work as a partner on them. Once the setup fee is paid, the website is yours.
We get students by word of mouth. Why would we need marketing?
Word of mouth is a great sign, but most people who hear about you still look you up on Google before they call. We make sure they find you, see your prices, and can book a discovery flight in under a minute. We also turn your students' first solos and checkrides into posts their friends and family see.
Do you work with Part 61 and Part 141 flight schools?
Yes, both. For Part 141 schools we follow the FAA's advertising rules in 14 CFR 141.23, which means Part 141-approved courses are always clearly separated from courses that aren't approved.
Do you only work with schools near Atlanta?
No. We work with flight schools across the United States. Schools within driving distance of Atlanta can add on-site shoot days easily, and for schools farther away we travel for shoots or work with footage you capture.
What's in the free marketing audit?
We review your website on a phone, your booking process, your Google Business Profile and reviews, your local search rankings, any ads you're running, and whether AI assistants like ChatGPT mention your school. You get a short written report within 2 business days, and no call is required.
What is AI search optimization (AEO)?
AEO means making sure tools like Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity mention your school when someone asks, "What's the best flight school near me?" or "How much does a private pilot license cost?" We do it with clear, accurate answers on your website, strong reviews, consistent listings and structured data. We check every month whether those assistants name you.
Why does lead response time matter so much?
Research published in Harvard Business Review found that companies contacting a web lead within an hour were nearly seven times more likely to qualify it than companies that waited even an hour longer. Every ONAV lead gets an automatic text within a minute, and your team gets an alert to call.
Does the website work with Flight Circle or Flight Schedule Pro?
Yes. The booking form sends each discovery-flight request to your CRM and can link to your scheduling software's booking page. For renters and current students, we link straight to your existing scheduling login.
